Hey guys just woundering if anyone knows if season 2 will ever make it to DVD. I know that showtime ran all/most of it but then pulled it. Nothing has been said about it since. So please if you know something or if Joe can get some info on this. Thanks guys for the help :P

I wish we did, a bunch of us are waiting for it. Unfortunately, the DVDs would be coming from MGM, not Showtime and JMS said when Season 1 came out that he found out online the same way we did so I don't think they'd even ask him to do a commentary. :(

You can be sure if we hear anything we'll post it here!

Since MGM produced the show, I would hazard a guess that last fall's MGM-SONY merger may have put a lot of plans on hold. However, Sony did just announce a release of Odyssey 5 in April, and that was an MGM show produced for Showtime, IIRC.

I'm not saying a Season 2 announcement is imminent, but there is no cause for total despair right now.

I guess we are ALL still waiting for Season 2 to be released.
If anyone has an idea where one can write and request Season 2 come out, that would be appreciated.
As if one letter will do it :(

Hi, SeaChanter and welcome.

As far as I can tell, the address you'd want to write to would be:

MGM Home Entertainment LLC
2450 Broadway
Santa Monica, CA 90404-3070

And make that two letters (now that I've gotten around to looking for the address). :)

Anybody else care to join us?

if you go to the mgm website, www.mgm.com, and scroll to the bottom where it says help/contacts/faq you can leave feedback, and Jeremiah is included in the drop down list of subjects which makes me think a few people have been leaving messages about it.

Cool, thanks SKerri.

And welcome!

So, I have ordered Season 1 of Jeremiah now, because I want to show my support for that excellent series. Strange thing is, on the british (Region 2) Amazon site I couldn't find it, so I had to order it over the big blue (Region 1), thank the heavens for region free DVD player... I mean, what sadistic baloon-head can come up with regional codes for programs which NEVER-EVER will be translated anyway? What otherdimensional benefit is there to that playing with the very soul of the customer (at least me)... sorry, I stop hijacking this thread soon, just wanted to say I support Jeremiah with money, the only thing that seems to convince the execs to produce something 8-/

edit: I also used the feedback to give my thoughts to the execs about the only possibility at the moment to get a season 2 DVD of Jeremiah is from bootleg, which I DON'T support... babbling about Region 2 non-aviability was neccesary, too 8-)

Season 2. The last season 2 episode I viewed was interregnum part 2. Was there more than that?

Is there a website that outlines the story line to the close of the season?

Interregnum Part 2 was indeed the final episode of season 2 (15 eps rather than the 20 of season 1).

If you want to find episode summaries etc. try TV.com (http://www.tv.com/jeremiah/show/4029/summary.html?q=jeremiah)

A quick update on this - I sent a message via the MGM site last week asking about any news regarding Jeremiah season 2 on DVD,and got the following:
No date has been announced, but stay tuned!
Now it seems to be a fairly standard response, but I also sent in another message regarding another show - and the response to that was totally different..... so maybe, just maybe, they're thinking about it... :D

Seems to me (as a UK fan) that a region 2 DVD release would be a bit of a money-spinner for MGM, as they could promote it as brand-new, never seen before etc. etc., since we Brits are still waiting for any sign that Sky (or anyone else) is ever going to show season 2.

Given some of the rubbish that keeps cropping up on some of our TV stations, this is one of two mysteries I cannot resolve ... the other being, how come BSG hasn't been snapped up by one of the terrestrial stations yet?

... Stargate SG1 has only just recently been released on DVD over here (up through Season 4), and I'm watching Season 4 at the moment...

... I thought that Alien - of the "Gau-ould-turned good-guys" looked familar... so I did some checking, and there it was: Peter Stebbings (Markus Alexander) from Jeremiah.

... And then I just saw Kim Hawthorne (Theo) in a minor role. I was like, "Hey! That's Theo!" "Giver her some more lines!" :)

... Jeremiah Season 2... yeah, still waiting. I even went looking over in the back-alley shops in Guanzhou... and it just isn't around.

I just sent them a message as well, maybe if they get enough response they'll start responding to us differently. I only saw up through the first 8 eps of the season...and I was really getting into the show too. I'd love to see it.

Platinum Studios will be meeting with MGM in the next couple weeks to discuss this issue among others.

See also the post in the Comics topic about The Final Season.

We may see some movement on both of these soon!

Wow, I'm surprised to see momentum after so long. I always worry as time goes by because people these days seem to forget things very quickly with all the media bombardment people get. So as time goes by there seems to be less of an audience. Does anyone know how well season 1 sold in the first place?

Would be nice if MGM ever got around to releasing Season 2 on dvd. I thought it was superior in most ways to Season 1 of the show, but Season 2 has already been out for a couple of years, so I would think that would lessen the chances of season 2 getting released.

But, you never know. Just the fact that CBS airs a show dealing with a semi post apocalyptic world, and its been picked up for a complete season, could help in MGM's decision to release season 2, since networks and studios seem to always be playing follow the leader.

Season 1 really introduced the concept and season 2 was taking off with the overall storyline. Another example of a great show cut short. I don't think at this point it looks like season 2 will come out.

Just found a post on another forum that Season 2 is now available on Netflix. I still can't find any indication of its release but the description is definitely of the second season.

http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Jeremiah_Season_2/70063731?trkid=189530&strkid=28508595_0_0

I'm sure I've said it before but it bears repeating: If you liked the first season, you'll *love* the second season.

Any Netflix members who can try getting this to make sure it's for real?

Well I just tried to add it to my queue. Under the description it reads "Release date is unknown; availability is not guaranteed." and when I added it, it went into the Saved list. (The Saved list is for stuff that isn't available yet but expected to be...)

At this point I am cautiously optomistic.

Oh, *please* let it mean that there'll be a general DVD release soon!!!

As much as I'd like to say otherwise (since I have been waiting to see season 2 for years), that just means that NetFlix received enough "Where is it?"/"Why don't you have this?" e-mails.

I think they add things like that so that anyone searching will see that it just isn't available and not that they just don't have it. (I've had something in my "Saved" list for over a year.)

Well... I've finally managed to watch "season 2" in its entirety... all I can say is wow. Just wow. Things were getting going real nice there, and it got cut off in it's prime...

A real shame - but one hell of a show imho... :D

Isn't it amazingly good? And even though it ended on somewhat of a cliffhanger, it was still quite satisfying.

It was great - but I definitley got the impression that things were left the way they were deliberately (i.e. because they knew the show was ending here...) :D Does anyone know of the progression of the comics from here?

Haha..I love our JMS mindset. 2 season = show intro.

The comics don't really have much in common with the series aside from the main character names and post-apocalyptic setting (which was after a nuclear war in the comics). The series isn't really based on the comics, it's more like inspired by the comics.
