Now, that is a strong letter.

I mostly like it. Maybe you are a bit over the top with the script claims. For Thor and WWZ JMS did not write the whole script as filmed, so I think it would be better to say that he has script credits for those films. What do you think about that one, Ubik ?

Thanks, and cheers for the feedback.

I could perhaps amend it to read 'has worked on films like...', but I was aiming for attention grabbing titles that people would be aware of. At most, I am only slightly bending the truth, but not by much! So, it works for me.

Maybe a brief explanation on what the Hugo Awards are, we may know it , but a Netflix exec ?

The letter needs to be punchy and to the point, and this would just bog it down in details. All they need is an appreciation that B5 has won awards.

We have just got Netflix in The Netherlands a few weeks ago, so I could participate in that one, too. Just give me some good notice, since other stuff sometimes takes precedence, even to B5 ;)

Great news. I'd encourage everyone to partake in the letter writing reagardless of territory or availability. Every extra letter / email will help our cause. I must admit, reception on the #FreeBabylon5 group has been non-existent so far. I'll give it a few days though.

Although I appreciate what BabylonLurker said, I would have to agree with keeping letters punchy, as Ubik said. I honestly believe that most people who don't read regularly, rarely digest the full content of a letter, news article, etc etc..., so we need to get to the point farely quickly, chaps and lasses!

That's why I trimmed my letter down to one side of A4 only.

Come on, gang! Let's see those letters flyin'!

We have buttons! No time to do an album right now but I've got pics on the Facebook page. With thanks to Ranger Reverend for the graphic.

Buttons and badges are the same thing :)

Oops, sorry, I mis-read that and thought you meant

For my fellow overseas B5-ers, we have badges!:D

They look great, by the way! Great work, Jan. Very well done. Things are starting to cook!:)

And I tend to think of badges as the things you wear on a lanyard at conventions. Communication is a lovely thing... ;)

That formulation would work for me. Also, the letters need not be identical, as long as the gist of the message remains, so we could adapt the language for our personal taste.

Agreed about being concise or punchy. Just a mention that it is an award for Science Fiction, nothing long winded is necessary

Give it till the week end at least, many people have little time during the week ;)

Splendid! Something to watch when I get home. If all B5 fans showed this much enthusiasm for the #FreeBabylon5 campaign, we'd have B5 back on TV (and Netflix!) by now.

Thanks for the encouragement :)

"Tell me How" from the only album recorded by Bill Mumy's band, The Be Five.
I liked his character Lennier and hope he would approve of this effort to keep the show alive.

The question in the song is leveled at Warner Bros... How can they keep B5 locked up?

Indeed! Thanks for the info'. :)

So..., when are we gonna "pull the trigger" on that thunderclap / email / Netflix / letter-send strategy? Has a date been decided yet?
