As I said to DaveNarn the other day, it was may hope to write something concise (ie. one side of A4) because I'm sure most people's brains (present company excluded!) switch off before the 2nd page, and not so scifi-y and jargon-y that it would scare off a non SF fan! I also tried to keep it polite, and non-militant too, Ha-ha! Cheers, I hope people enjoy it and I hope it gives everyone some ideas for their own letters. Jump! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I don't know if this has been discussed or not, but I wonder if working on the Babylon 5 Project wiki page would be an asset in this campaign.
http://babylon5.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page I say this because when I started venturing into STar Trek, Memory Alpha Wiki was a key asset in my really getting into the franchise and falling in love with Star Trek. I personally feel that it might be worth considering. Some place where people can go to learn more about the series, the characters, episodes etc. I'm sure there is a site but the wiki could make a great tool. Here is the Star Trek wiki: http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Portal:Main Similar but the Star Trek wiki has much more information and news. It also goes into depth about the books, series, etc. It gave news about just about everything related to Star Trek. Now perhaps something similar can be done to the Babylon 5 Project wiki page. I really think it would be a valuable tool. In fact, I did a google search for Babylon 5. And the link for the wiki was number 4 or 5 on the list. Just something to think about FWIW |

Maybe not as in-depth as Memory Alpha, but totally has a B5 vibe of it's own. http://www.themadgoner.com/B5/B5Scrolls/B5Scrolls.htm Besides JMS, there has been a few interviews with the crew of B5 One of my favorites is with Ron Thorton published in an early computer graphics book titled "Digital Space" http://www.amazon.com/Digital-Space-...3d+digital+art "The second half of the book includes case study interviews with 3D artists such as Robyn Miller of Myst, Ron Thorton of Babylon 5, and Chris Carter from National Geographic." |

B5 Scrolls is great, coming from a visual / design perspective.
The Lurkers Guide covers everything in detail, not as slick, but an amazing resource. http://www.midwinter.com/lurk/

I sometimes promote Babylon 5 on other forums to keep the show alive in conversation.
My B5 email was read by the lovely Alicia of the internet's number one rated Trek podcast - TrekCast. http://www.trekcast.com/trekcast-sup...1y-u-so-cheap/ She starts at the 8:10 mark and surprise.. gives B5 high praise that sent the crew on a wild tangent of other scifi shows too ![]() Another Trek podcast - 'Treknologic' are a good natured group who are B5 friendly and on occasion bring up the Narn and Centauri |

Dear Ted,
I am writing to you on behalf of the fan campaign #FreeBabylon5, with the aim of getting the classic science fiction series Babylon 5 added to the Netflix catalogue of TV shows available for streaming. [B]Why now? What

Don't suppose you'd fancy sending it, (appropriately altered), to C4 as well? Just in case they did pass mine on to their programming team? ![]() Very cool. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Sinclair's Fan; 09-26-2013 at 04:59 AM. |

Cool. Can do. I'll send to C4 if you'll send to Netflix... But I want to agree a 'pull the trigger' date for letter sending.
I noticed typos in my spelling of JMS name, so that's been altered.

All for it. We need time to organise the troops.

Now, that is a strong letter.
I mostly like it. Maybe you are a bit over the top with the script claims. For Thor and WWZ JMS did not write the whole script as filmed, so I think it would be better to say that he has script credits for those films. What do you think about that one, Ubik ? Maybe a brief explanation on what the Hugo Awards are, we may know it , but a Netflix exec ? We have just got Netflix in The Netherlands a few weeks ago, so I could participate in that one, too. Just give me some good notice, since other stuff sometimes takes precedence, even to B5 ![]()

I read few days ago that netflix could come to France in 2014. If it's really the case I will clearly send a mail to them !
