I missed it when I read the preview but I had to laugh last night when I read issue #10. Check out the movie marquee on page 5.

Indeed. Quite apart from the in-jokes it was a neat foreshadowing of the "id monster" theme they were going for.

I'll withhold judgement as to whether this makes sense until we get a proper dissection of DM and his late creator's psyches, not just some half-assed comments about repressed puritanism. Why build a self-aware machine which at the same time is (somehow) unaware of its own nature? What sort of moral example is that supposed to be, anyway, what it lacks even the potential for "sin"? Oh, and how stupid would Blue Blade have to be to try blackmailing someone who'd already slaughtered a whole bar full of people to protect the same secret?

Anyway, the art was gorgeous as usual. Definitely worth owning in hardcover once it's complete.
