JMS has ideas for 'Ghostbusters 3'
Interesting interview fragment regarding the GB3 movie along with a suggestion for fans to tweet if they'd like to see him be approached to write a script for it.

I'd say go for it as long as the script is great and the original roles aren't recast with younger actors.
Although the Ghostbusters game from '09 is viewed as the third movie by Dan Aykroyd. So if the movie never happens, there is that.
