And we have our very first spoiler courtesy of JMS hisownself:

Quote:
J. MIchael Straczynski

So there's a sequence during the last ten minutes of episode 7 (production number 208) of season two -- it's a long scene in a restaurant in Berlin, you'll know it when you see it -- that will show Sensates in a way beyond anything you can imagine. It may be one of the coolest visuals in the whole show.
And Twitter style:

#sense8 S2, episode 7, technically 208, restaurant, Berlin, last 10 minute: you will see sensates functioning in ways you can't even imagine

I am really exited for this season. I know it's slightly dull to compare to B5, but I get the distinct impression we'll see a similar style of build up, whereby S3 will be full on all out conflict. If B5's arc is anything to go by, S2 should be superb. And it sounds like JMS and the Ws are going to answer many of the burning questions I had once S1 concluded.

He must be talking about this:

Judging by Kala's reaction, maybe all 8 sensates get angry and.. something happens. What's that something, I don't know, but I do know an action scene follows from other pictures we've seen.

Agreed on all counts.

So, I've now seen the restaurant scene in question, and I am left wondering what was new here?

There were some cool visual effects, and the on screen representation of cycling through the abilities amongst the cluster was very cool. I loved that aspect of the scene. It was nicely done.

But beyond that, it definitely didn't show "Sensates in a way beyond anything you can imagine". In fact, I struggled to see anything new here beyond what we've already been shown. Am I missing something? I was expecting some kind of revelation or next level powers.

I did not get the feeling, either, maybe a detailed re-watch will help. I don't know yet.

The only thing I could think of, and I'm really reaching here, is the moment when the conflict 'kicks off' in the bar, there are some brief pyrotechnics. I think it's a bottle hitting the table, and there's a small explosion. Which, doesn't make all that much sense, as the alcohol in wine or beer wouldn't ignite. So is this something else?

I need to re-watch the scene, but I got no trace of the big new thing that JMS was seemingly hinting at. I was expecting something slightly unexpected. Some kind of 'big' thing due to the convergence of the whole cluster behind one person.

I half suspect that JMS is more talking about the visual aspect of the scene and how the Sensates working together is represented. I think I may have mis-read the tweet to mean something wider about what Sensates can do. In fact, yeah, I'm pretty sure he's talking about the cool VFX they use.

If anyone uses Twitter, could they perhaps ask the question in response to JMS original tweet, cause I am not seeing it.

Haven't done my re-watch yet. Still deciding whether to start from the first season or not.
