Yesterday, I had snow tires put on my car. When the tireman pulled the valves the air made a nasty high pitched screaming whistle. I immediately checked for shadows.

Please-please-please make an audio recording, next time.

I finally saw "The Dark Knight Rises", and it started out with Firefly brainflashovers ("barn swallow"), then Bane said:

And, of course, my brain happily switched to B5.

Just watching Animal House tonight and couldn't help but think "So this is how Londo and Vir met".

The rooms of AA

Truthfully, hearing people share about their journey through sobriety and continuing with my own one, quites from Babylon 5, especially some of Delenn's mor spiritual ones, often help me on tough days.

It could happen...

Refa: [to Londo] Let it go. War's over, man. Mordon dropped the big one.
Londo: What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Minbari bombed Regesh-3? Hell no!
Durano: [to Vir] Minbari?
Vir: Forget it, he's rolling.
Londo: And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough...
[thinks hard of something to say]
Londo: The tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!

Congratulations on your sobriety, some of the coolest people I know are sober...not saying that I've ever met JMS however.

Dr. Fusa Miyake recently reported signs of the Earth being struck by a beam of high energy radiation found in ancient cedar trees.

Theories of solar flares, or a super nova, even a 'red crucifix' seen in the skies have been ruled out.

Only one obvious answer... Shadow Battlecrab!

Skimming the headline today, I did a double take, thought it read "Not the One".

Just saw a headline posted:

EA CEO To Step Down

Couldn't figure out why I'd never known that the Earth Alliance *had* a CEO!
