Die All Spoilers

Thats it. I'm through.

From this moment forth, I solemnly swear I will never again read about a TV show, movie or book that I haven't yet watched or seen online, no matter how cool or interesting I think it is.

Except for Babylon 5, because by now it is far, far too late.

To those of you who have yet to see all five seasons, GET THE HECK OFF OF THIS SITE. The spoilers aint worth it.

I think suggesting ways to improve the anti-spoiler system is better than simply giving up. I was under the impression that this site's users were reasonably concious of the need to avoid spoiling. What was the "straw that broke the camel's back" as it were?

I've revealed my theory on spoilers before, and I think we can all agree that a show that's been off the air for six years cannot be spoiled. Going to any site even remotely involved with B5 is a sure way to come across a "spoiler." Most people have seen the show, so we can't pussyfoot around "spoilers" at the risk of ruining the show for a small minority. Does that make any sense?

While most of us have seen all the show, how about those who haven't read the various books, etc?

Yes, though B5 fans are the minority, not the other way around.
You have the people who never watched the show, people who watched maybe a few episodes, people too young to have watched it at the time, people who don't have cable, people from foreign countries who have never even heard of B5, etc. The time passed since its airing is not the only factor here. TV Spoilers tell you things from episodes you havent yet watched, period.

I've certainly tried to use the hit and run strat on this site, with some very unfortunate results.

Well, yes and no. I agree that a poster who doesn't want his future shows spoiled needs to make that clear, and keep to threads in which he/she has made that clear. Books are a slightly diffferent matter, especially in threads where people have specifically asked if they should get a given book or set of books.

Seeing what you people have said about the books, has influenced my choices for my next book purchase(s)

I just received the last of the B5 books that I ordered, and have got half-way through the TecnoMage Trilogy. I am so happy to be involved in new B5 material!!!!

Re:Spoilers, I'm with Cronan.

I am staying away from Spoilers. I already Spoiled myself, and I almost dropped the 'p'.

No, but during this scene in one of the manufacturing centers, there was some guy leaning against a poll with a really skinny face and a cig hanging from his mouth.
