The song? From Gilbert and Sullivan's the Pirates of Penzance. Marcus sang the first verse, which I've reprinted here. Please excuse any mispellings or incorrect words, I did this from memory. When I saw the episode back in the first run of the series I went out and found the song and learned it. It's DIFFICULT. Especially the third verse, which one sings almost twice as fast. Even after years of practice I still struggle with the darn thing. Here we go:

I am the very model of the modern major general,
I've information vegetable, animal, and mineral.
I know the kings of England and I quote the fights historical
from Marathon to Waterloo in order categorical.
I'm very well acquainted with all matters mathematical,

It's called a "patter song," which G&S wrote almost exclusively for their comic baritone roles (this one is sung by Major-General Stanley in "The Pirates of Penzance (or The Slave of Duty)." They are _all_ loaded with many words and many syllables, and meant to be sung quickly. You could almost think of the comic baritone from Gilbert & Sullivan's original opera company as the Fed Ex guy of his time. (Remember the guy from the Fed Ex commercials who spoke very fast? That's who I mean.)

As for the lyrics, you were very close, but here's the correct set:
