Any ideas on the August Announcement?
Does any one have an idea on the announcement?
I'd love to entertain hopes, blue sky and wild ass ideas too. My hope beside the eventual quote and Crusade books, would be for the short stories to be collected. I imagine JMS holds the rights to publication of them, and this seems like a great way to put them out for the fans, maybe with an added new short story too.

I think a short story volume would be kind of thin. There were the three that were in Amazing Stories. Where there any in the B5 magazine? I can't remember.Srill, maybe if he got a few people who have already written for B5/Crusade to all chip in a story about their favorite character, that would fill out a decent-sized volume. Of course, that would be dependant on rights, etc...

Three in Amazing Stories and three in the B5 magazine.
Keep in mind that publishing the scripts is a different proposition from republishing the short stories. The right to publish the scripts is part of the WGA agreement. Rights to the short stories might well be dependant on the original contract with the publication and permission from (and possibly a license fee paid to) WB. I don't know for sure, this is just stuff that came up in previous conversations over on the newsgroup. Jan
