If I am wrong just yell at me. To me it looks like JMS has lost some weight. His face looks thinner. Unless it is just the angle. Mind you with all the work he is doing I wouldn't be surprised if he lost some weight. Probably doesn't have time to eat.

On the talk show front, besides the recent Eastwood interview on The Daily Show, so far the only cast member appearance I see is John Malkovich listed for Craig Ferguson on Thursday 10/23.

But on the other hand, the wide release isn't untill the 31st and that week's guests aren't listed yet. I'd be surprised if Angelina Jolie or Amy Ryan wouldn't make atleast one appearance to pimp the movie.

I did an interview for the LA Times that will be coming out in a big
spread on Sunday, an interview for the Hollywood Reporter, Script
Magazine, NPR's All Things Considered, and there are a bunch more yet
to come.

Changeling Writer J. Michael Straczynski

Creator and writer of the influential 1990's space television show Babylon 5 and long-time writer for Marvel Comics, J. Michael Straczynski scored some impressive co-workers for his first feature film screenplay. Changeling, directed by Clint Eastwood, stars Angelina Jolie and John Malkovich. Straczynski spoke to TIME about writing for the big screen and why he's not ashamed that his house looks like a 14-year old's crash pad.

Considering the stories Jan and others have told of Joe at conventions, his pride in having a "14-year old's crash pad" does not surprise me.

I gather that it's more like what JMS actually said:

My house looks like it was decorated by a 14-year old with a platinum American Express card.

which I take to mean he's got all the *good* cool stuff. Some of the Superman stuff he's collected:

I *collected* Superman stuff. And I have one of the best collections on
the Western Seaboard: bronze rings from the 1940s, pinbacks, patches, mugs,
pins, figurines, Supermen of America membership badges, a cape made from the
original bolt, to the original patterns, as that made for George Reeves...you
name it, I got it.

Sounds like fun.

It's really neat to see Joe getting a lot of press as the screenwriter for the movie and also acknowledgement of the research he had to do for the story.

His office at B5 always had a good number of Superman items on display, so I can only imagine what stuff he has now with the truckloads of money he's been getting.

Hopefully DC will give him the opportunity to actually write a Superman mini-series or something before too long.
