Kosh used a translator?
After being here on the forums for a couple years I've finally started reading through the archives, which I am totes fascinated by, and I came across this one:
From: STRACZYNSKI [Joe] Subject: Mayhap it was the parrot that threw... To: GENIE Date: 1/5/1992 11:18:00 AM << Newer : List : Older >> No Thread Mayhap it was the parrot that threw them off.... As for language...most times, since other groups know that they're going to a station run by the Earth Alliance, they'll take time to get the basic language down. But, of course, there are always equivilants of the Ugly American who doesn't have the time. In those cases, there will be a computerized translator, under which we will faintly hear their actual language. And, from time to time, it could be fun to have two different species at an impasse because neither understands the other. One of our regular characters will normally use the second method of the computerized translator because we will never see his.... Oops. Too soon. Never mind. jms .................................................. .................................................. ..... So when we hear Kosh's voice that is actually the voice of his computer translator or did that change over time? I always assumed that it was his own voice. |

I'd have to look it up but I'm pretty sure that the music we hear is his real voice.
Ah, here it is, from the script for "Midnight on the Firing Line": Quote:
