JMS *NOT* 'Down Under' 2012

I know that JMS mentioned that he'd be doing a couple of cons this autumn in Australia and New Zealand. This is the first link to one of them I've found so far - for Armageddon Expo Oct. 13 & 14. ( love this part of the blurb which JMS obviously wrote himself: JMS finally has a personal life courtesy of Patricia Tallman.)

Looks like a heck of a party since Mira Furlan, Bruce Boxleitner, Pat Tallman and Claudia Christian will all be there, too!

Alas...these are JMS-cons I won't be able to attend so hopefully some kind fans will report back to us.

Looks like JMS and Pat won't be able to make it to the Australian and New Zealand cons:

A joint statement from me and Pat Tallman regarding the two conventions Down Under that we had desperately hoped to be able to attend:

As you've doubtless heard by now, we have one of those good news/bad news situations. As you know, any convention appearance is contingent upon work availability. When we made that arrangement with the convention earlier, we looked down the road and October looked clear enough to make this work. Since then, we launched Studio JMS and the good news is that we're hip-deep in work on productions and publishing and many things in-between. The bad news is that we're so hip-deep in work that peeling away for two weeks in October has become pretty much impossible given all that we need to get done. We spent the last few days in the office creating flow-charts to try and figure out how we could spread the work and manage the output to be able to attend the conventions, but we finally, reluctantly, had to face the reality that the math just didn't work.

So with profound regrets, we've had to withdraw. We have talked to the convention organizers and offered to do skype calls to each of the two conventions to try and make this up a bit, and we're helping them look for replacement guests.

We very much regret being unable to attend, despite doing everything we can to try and make this work. With luck, we can try this again next year, when we will be able to bring with us many cool things from studio jms to debut at the convention.

Meanwhile, again: our regrets on this, and our best wishes to the convention.
