Sudden realisation..!!!
Oh man, is that it?
sounds like another GL no-brainer. Points to look out for... 1) How will GL get past the fact that Leia has memories of her mother (NOT her Alderaanian ie adoptive family - that's obvious from the context), but her real mother, but that Luke does not - even though they are twins and would BOTH need to be spirited away (more-or-less from birth) in great haste, to protect and hide them from their father? 2) How will GL explain (adequately) how so may Jedi MASTERS (Yoda, Windu, Kenobi, the WHOLE JEDI COUNCIL!) had been so totally duped for so long by so may 'dark' Jedi that seem to be running round all over the place? In SW-ANH, TESB and ROTJ a Jedi could sense another from some considerable distance. I have this sick feeling that GL has a great plan to see just how crappy he can make his films and STILL make a mint from them. Just how awful do they have to be before people stop going to them? Is it any wonder then, that with this in my mind I suddenly noticed a horrific observation... An anagram of 'Revenge Of The Sith' is.... Revenge of the SHIT! Think about it....GL's SW Prequels.....shit, GL's SW Prequels....shit. See what I mean? ![]() Shameful admission time:- I'll still buy the DVDs though - sucker!!

I am no fan of Lucas -- in fact, I was once called a "detractor" by one of his Lucasites -- but I believe the explanation for this is that "hard to see the Dark Side is." Perhaps Obi-Wan and Luke could sense Vader because they had some kind of connection with him.

That anagram is bound to be prophetic... and the movies will still make millions... For good or worse there's a younger generation for whom SW starts with "Episode I" and are not old enough to realize just how much better the original trilogy was. And their parents will have to take them to the movie, no matter how horrible they expect it to be. Lucas also has another advantage, there are many fans of SW so "dedicated" that they will rationalize whatever inconsistencies there are and swallow whatever meagre explanation Lucas gives. As long as there's no Jar Jar I can forgive characters named Count Dufus and Gral. Gravy. ![]() And I will go see it, with my brain engine on idle, I don't think I'll have to shift to higher cognitive gears but I'll have the motor running just in case.

"Okay people, show's done. Nothing to see here... Oh my gosh! A horrible plane crash! Hey everybody, get a load of this fiery wreckage! Come on, gather around, gather around!" (BTW - I changed some words so I don't get sued )

Well everyone think differently,i personally love episode 1 and 2 (minus jar jar),and 3 will kick ass.
I hate Lord of the Ring (i found it to be VERY boring,i can't imagine a single person who will watch any part of the trilogy more then once,3+ hours of boring crap). I found Star Wars (the prequels) to be very entertaining and fun to watch.

I'm sure I'll enjoy it. I enjoyed Episode II despite its numerous flaws.
However, I'm also sure it won't be as dark as I would like.

As a kid, Star Wars was an incredible experience, even though when I saw "Return of the Jedi" with my parents when I was 5, I fell asleep halfway through. Repeated viewings of the original trilogy during my childhood were enjoyable. When the "Special Edition" came out, I was somewhat skeptical of some changes, though overall the essential elements that made Star Wars enjoyable to me still remained.
Then in 1999, I bought a ticket for "The Phantom Menace". I sat down, watched it and once the movie was over, I went home and got rid of everything that was associated with Star Wars that I owned. I did purchase a ticket for Episode 2, thinking that it will get better. 30 minutes later, I walked out and got a refund. Right now, just typing these thoughts out (refrained of course, since this website and forum from what I gather is somewhat "family friendly" ) brings to mind a comment I read from "Toastyfrog's Thumbnail Theater" (R.I.P) for Episode One:Obi-Wan: Master, I still don't understand. What's that horrible sucking sound? Qui-Gon: Don't you understand? That's George Lucas sucking all integrity out of his franchise.

Together with my man (our own LightStorm), we have all three regular versions and all three extended versions (complete with cast stone statuettes and extra disks) of LOTR and have watched them all several times each. And let us tell you, you HAVE NOT experienced REAL surround sound until you have lived through the climactic battles in t2Ts and ROtK in full, kick-arsed-bass, DTS!Having said that, both Lightyboy and I feel that SW-ROTS could/should be the best of the three...IF Lucas is brave enough to make it dark and downbeat (as it needs to be to fit in with the original 3).

Those who need more spoilers including sample dialogue (a lot of whcih sounds great!!) should go here...
http://www.millenniumfalcon.com/ Those who are spoiler free, beware.... Whilst I am not a massive prequels fan,, almost everything i've seen and heard about this movie rocks hard, I am a die-hard OS fan, and think this could do it.
