Just to let everybody know that the third volume in the Babylon 5
script book series will become available on Monday morning. There's a
good, lengthy description of the new volume's contents at
www.babylon5scripts.com along with an excerpt that most fans will a)
relate to and b) find rather amusing.

BTW, I can't recall if I mentioned this here before or not, but in
addition to some other redesigns on the site -- some items being
retired, others being refined -- when the new volume goes up on Monday,
the women's section of the quote site will be up and running, with
stuff more fitting for, well, women...who are apparently built a bit
differently than men, and asked for some different options.

Who knew?

We don't want any takers on that version...that's just there to make
sure nobody picks it up early, when we're still tweaking it.

A little later. They're stil working at doing large numbers of these
things, and I don't want to push the process until I know it'll go
right.

As for the suggestions...I'll have to go back over my notes, but it was
the one who first suggested using the core B5 questions: who are you,
what do you want, where are you going, why are you here? Seemed
perfect for a shirt, particularly if you're meeting someone for the
first time.

Probably the closest I've come is the animated series The Real
Ghostbusters, which had a rather substantial amount of humor to it.
But for sitcoms...no, never done it, never really had that much
interest in it because I don't find a lot of them very funny. I think
that without laugh tracks, a lot of those folks would be out of
business. They're too self-aware, too self-consciously funny...granted
there are exceptions, but I've almost given up watching sitcoms for the
most part. (On the other hand, if I come across a rerun of the Dick
Van Dyke show, or Fawlty Towers, I'm there...it's just never-endingly
funny.)

On the flip side, however, on my own shortcomings...I cannot write or
tell a joke to save my life. I kind of look at things funny, and I can
express something in a way that sometimes gets a laugh...but to write
an actual joke is just about impossible for me.

Then you need to go to the B5 scripts site, and leave your info in the
feedback section, so it can be archived for when the shirts become
available.

Actually, I just found out that volume 3 just went online tonight,
about 10 hours ahead of schedule, so it's out and there for pickup.
